Case: 40mm steel case, 11.6mm thick, with brushed and polished finishing, a smooth steel bezel, sapphire crystal, and solid caseback. Stated water-resistance rating of 100 meters.

Dial: Black dial with luminous Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9, luminous baton hour markers, and a triangular marker at 12. Mercedes-style hour and minute hands, a central seconds hand, and an outer minute track complete the no-date display.

Movement: Automatic Rolex calibre 3230 with 31 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 bph, and 70 hours of power reserve.

Strap/Bracelet: Steel three-link Oyster bracelet with brushed surfaces, polished sides, and a signed steel folding clasp, complementing the Explorer’s restrained, versatile sport-watch character.
